Jeffrey Racenstein has spent the majority of his career in the financial services industry, most recently serving as Chief Investment Officer at HSD Holdings. In this role, he works closely with the managing member to oversee a diverse range of investments, with responsibilities that include investment diligence, analysis, and the review of all family holdings. Jeffrey has developed a comprehensive investment strategy spanning multiple asset classes and investment sponsors, while directly managing the firm’s equity and fixed income portfolios.
Before joining HSD Holdings, Jeffrey served as CFO for several entrepreneurial ventures. He began his investment career as a portfolio manager at Otter Creek Management, where he played a key role in managing and expanding a long/short equity portfolio over 15 years, overseeing assets of up to $600 million. Prior to Otter Creek, he gained experience at major financial institutions, including Lehman Brothers and Bankers Trust. Jeffrey started his career as a public accountant at Price Waterhouse, where he earned his CPA license.
A native New Yorker, Jeffrey holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
